Art on the Roll

Art on a Roll is a weekly art making workshop that connects the community with teaching artists in high quality art activities and workshops that takes place on Saturdays from 11 am to 2 pm.

These are free to attend, Drop-in workshops meaning you do not need to pay or sign up or come at 11. Stop by when you can for a creative experience.

About the program:

Our goal at Art in Motion is to promote healthy lifestyles by integrating both art and physical activity within and around the Art in Motion facility and campus. We aim to create an atmosphere that stimulates the mind and body to learn, grow, and engage while being in the moment with each other. The Art on a Roll program is meant to be something expected on Saturdays, yet, the activities themselves, may be unexpected. We believe that when our guests venture out to Holdingford by trail or car, there should be an opportunity to retreat for a couple of hours. The art activities are one of many things to do on the Art in Motion campus. Art on a Roll is a weekly artist workshop where visitors and community members can engage in a variety of place-based art activities while also enjoying the beautiful setting along the Lake Wobegon Trail. Workshops will be open to the public and accessible to all ages, skill sets, and artistic abilities.

This workshop series is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Central MN Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund. Additional thanks to herARTS in Action for sponsoring this project.
