About the Performers:

Ring of Kerry: Ring of Kerry is a bursting-with-energy Irish music group that captures the hearts of listeners. The group takes its name from a beautiful craggy drive in southwestern County Kerry, Ireland. Its Celtic music, however, is played with a heart much closer to its American home.

All five of its engaging musicians sing and play several instruments. From the thundering sound of the bodhran to the sparkle of the hammered dulcimer; from the lilt and rhythm of fiddle and guitar to the haunting wails of the flute and pennywhistles, the band has developed a blend that is animated, ruggedly beautiful and fun. Audiences always react with great enthusiasm!

Ring of Kerry is at times a raucous pub band enticing the crowd to sing along, stomp their feet and to join the merriment. Yet, in other moments, they are able to beautifully serenade their audience while strolling from table to table, completely unplugged and playing acoustically.

Harpers Chord: Harper’s Chord is an Americana-country cocktail with a twist of bluegrass.  This four-piece musical group, led by vocalist Jill Moore, draws from their love of modern folk, bluegrass, Americana, and country music.  Harper’s Chord has been captivating audiences for over nine years with their sweet harmonies and easy-listening acoustic songs.  Their music has been heavily influenced by such artists as Brandi Carlile, Dolly Parton, Sarah Jarosz, Little Big Town, Emmylou Harris, and The Duhks.

The music of Harper's Chord has a grass-roots, back porch, organic feel, offering an eclectic mix of originals and covers that tell stories of personal journeys and allow these diverse musicians the opportunity to showcase their formidable talents.

Nelson Hamilton: Nelson Hamilton, an acoustic ensemble, has been performing in the St. Cloud area for years. With a finger-picking guitar style and vocals that emphasize harmonies, Pete Nelson and Sandy Hamilton cover many of their favorite artists such as James Taylor and Carole King. Country, Celtic and original songs are also featured, with Laurie Nelson adding accordion and tin whistle.

Adam Hammer has a story to tell. It’s a story of fatherhood, homelessness, love, addiction, recovery, pain, comfort and unity told in front of a backdrop of his own unique style of “tattooed folk” music.

Hammer’s music is inspired by his roots in small-town Henning, Minn., (population 735) where he was born and raised and started playing guitar when he was 12. He learned in the true folk tradition picking up chords and songs from his mom, aunts, and uncles.

The musical melting pot that makes up Hammer’s influences is why his sound is so unique.

“I was raised on ’60s folk revival, gospel, Hank Williams, ’80s rock and alternative music with a splash of punk rock influence. I was an outcast in my tiny town who dressed different and got in a lot of trouble,” Hammer said. Adam’s music is built on simple layers, poetic songwriting, and a few catchy sing-a-longs. The soundscape spans from somber tones to acoustic rockabilly, a dash of twang, modern folk, and blues.

An adam hammer performance is fully engaged through storytelling, classic sing-a-longs, and the pieces he has composed from these influences.

Micheal Shynes: Michael Shynes is a Midwest-born singer-songwriter with a Platinum Record in Poland, in many ways, sums up the unlikelihood of his career perfectly. Being a self-taught musician from a small town, he seemed to build a career out of nothing more than pure hustle and soulful songwriting. And even though the music itself may be difficult to define (often oscillating from Folk to Pop to R&B to Country and then back again), the intent behind it is the unifying ingredient. Blending shades of multiple genres over an acoustic and full band landscape, his songs are ripe with lyrical depth rarely paired with such mainstream appeal. The thing that seems to separate Shynes is unquestionably his vocal stylings. With a range and falsetto that is nothing short of captivating, his acoustic finger-picking style acts as the perfect bed of warmth on which his soulful lyrics can rest.

Charlie Roth: Americana, Folk, Blues, Country, Celtic, Charlie Roth is a unique blend of all these genres. What Charlie is best at is telling a story with his rich baritone vocal, acoustic guitar, rack harmonica, and foot percussion. His fifth album ‘Broken Ground’ reached up to #6 on the Euro Americana charts and continues to get airplay all over the world. He has recorded with the likes of Sam Bush, Michael Bland, and other American legends. A consummate showman, an entertainer with countless gigs under his belt, Charlie has mastered the art of playing and singing from his heart, exuding the sheer joy of making great music that can be felt by everyone who is connected to that magical and medicinal spiritual grace.
