The 1918 American La France Speedster driven by Jerome Reinan in the Great Race was on display in the gallery. The Great Race which is made up of cars only older than 1970, this exhibit tells the story of the race, why it’s important, and how it’s completed by such an old car. The race in 2022 started in Rhode Island and ended in North Dakota, 2,300 miles total. The American LaFrance then made her way to the Art in Motion Gallery.

This car is old, loud, stinky, and sticky! It leaked oil all over and was frequently sat on by young kids to elderly kids at heart! It was an engaging show that expressed how creativity can be beyond painting and drawing.
